# Trade settings

`/settings` is a dashboard of account-wide execution settings. It shows the value in force for each one and marks it *(default)* when you haven't changed it. Changes apply from your next trade.

| ↩️ **Reset to defaults** | Clears every setting on this screen *and* your filters, safety switches and risk limits, and turns the cooldown back on. Pump-only and Trading asset are left as they are. |

These settings apply to every chain you trade. Where a chain behaves differently, it's called out below.

## Slippage

How far the **fill** may move away from the **quote** you were given. Buy and sell are set separately. Type a percent from **0.1% to 100%**, e.g. `2.5`. Below 0.1% a quote fails on the spread alone, and 100% is the venue's own limit.

### Buy slippage

| | Default | With your own value |
| ------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Solana** | 15% | Your value is the limit. |
| **BSC · Robinhood · Arc** | Sized per coin: at least 3%, or 6% for a freshly launched coin, plus the coin's own buy and sell tax | If the coin needs more room than you allow, the buy is **skipped** rather than sent at a price you didn't agree to. |

### Sell slippage

Sell slippage is the most an exit may give up against its quote. That applies to take-profits, stop-losses, manual sells and mirror sells. **Once you set it, it's both where exits start and the most they widen to.**

Left unset, each exit keeps its own limit:

| | Unset |
| -------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------ |
| Solana: take-profit, stop-loss, manual sells | 1% |
| Solana: mirror sells | 15% |
| BSC · Robinhood · Arc: every exit | starts at 1%, widens up to 10% |

If an exit's best route would lose more than your limit to price impact, **nothing is sent and you keep the tokens.** You get a message. To sell anyway, raise your sell slippage here and sell again, or sell a smaller share.

Slippage protects you against execution drift, not against front-running. Solana and BSC trades also send through a private route (see [Chains](/chains.md)).

## Max chase

**A buy is refused when the quote already prices the coin this far above the trader's own entry.** Default **25%**, range **1% – 1000%**. Applies on every chain.

This isn't slippage, and the difference matters:

| Guard | Protects | Against |
| ------------- | --------------------------------- | -------------------------------------- |
| **Slippage** | your fill vs. your quote | execution drift between quote and fill |
| **Max chase** | your quote vs. the trader's entry | a stale opportunity that already ran |

Both can pass while you still buy far worse than the trader did. The coin can move between their fill and your quote, and slippage never looks at that. Max chase is the guard that does.

* Checked on **every** attempt, against every fresh quote.
* It **outranks retries.** A retry that would now chase past your cap is refused, not landed.
* A refusal is a **skip**, not a failure: nothing was signed and nothing was spent. In /history it shows as `price moved too far before we could copy` (on BSC · Robinhood · Arc: `chase`).
* If we have no price for the trader's own fill, there's no evidence to refuse on, so the buy is allowed.

**Tuning.** Too tight (1–5%) and you'll skip most memecoin copies, because the trader's own transaction moves the price more than that. Too loose (100%+) and you're buying the pump they started. 25% is the line between copying the entry and copying the run.

## Priority fee

What you pay for blockspace on every trade. It's real money either way.

| Preset | Solana | BSC · Arc | Robinhood Chain |
| ---------------------- | -------------------------------------- | ------------------- | --------------- |
| ⚡ **Normal** (default) | automatic, market-priced | 1× the priority bid | no effect |
| 🚀 **Fast** | at least 0.001 SOL per trade | 1.5× | no effect |
| 🔥 **Turbo** | at least 0.005 SOL per trade | 2× | no effect |
| 🎛 **Custom** | you choose 0.0001 – 0.01 SOL per trade | 1× | no effect |

On Solana a preset only ever **raises** the bid, never lowers it. The measured market bid is the floor of what lands at all, and a preset is you paying extra for speed on top of it. Robinhood Chain processes transactions first come, first served, so there's nothing to outbid and the preset changes nothing there.

## Buy-once cooldown

**On by default.** One buy per coin per **10-minute** window: repeat buys of a coin you already hold are skipped until the window lapses. Selling the coin allows buying again immediately. With it off, every buy your trader makes is mirrored. Applies on every chain.

## Retry buys

**On by default.** A buy that fails its first attempt gets one wider second attempt.

Turn it off and a failed first attempt ends that copy. This setting never governs sells: a stuck sell always keeps retrying. Retries never override max chase. Applies on every chain.

## Trading asset

🪙 **Trading asset** shows which asset each chain trades from: your native coin (SOL, BNB, ETH) or a stablecoin, and what the platform fee works out to.

**Gas-sponsored stablecoin trading is not live yet.** The screen marks it *coming soon*. Until it launches, keep each chain on its native coin and hold that coin for network fees. Bridging and withdrawals always need their own native balance.
